This instrument boasts a comprehensive effect rack with 31 heavy metal effect modules, including Screamer, EQ12, AMP, Flanger, Wah, and Ping-Pong delay. It offers 16 amplifiers covering a wide range of tones from heavy metal to clean sounds, alongside 66 cabinet impulse responses (IRs) that can be mixed simultaneously with customizable delay, volume, and phasing settings. A preset manager allows you to save your own effect presets, complemented by 200 factory presets for instant inspiration.

Heavier7Strings also includes a rich library of 300 predefined MIDI patterns spanning metal, rock, pop, clean, and ambient styles. These patterns can be easily dragged into your DAW, and you can create your own MIDI clips to customize your compositions.

The instrument runs on a proprietary sampler that reads samples directly from disk, optimizing memory usage by sharing sample buffers between instances and employing automatic fade-outs to prevent audio artifacts. Its built-in DSP engine, THRASH (Tonal/Harmonic Reconstruction and Shaping), offers advanced tone-shaping features such as random timbre and envelope variations, true doubling with random note delays, sample-based LFO modulation mimicking real vibrato, dynamic formant adjustments during pitch bends, and emulated tone controls.

Performance features are extensive, including infinite sustain, hammer-on and pull-off, legato slides, pinch harmonics, tremolo, glissando, palm-muting, picking noise, polyphonic legato, and 24 "inspiration keys" for triggering complex sounds or performances. It also supports string and fretboard position articulation, up/down picking, strumming that deduces full chords from partial notes, and power chord triggering from root notes.

Version 1.7.0 introduces VST3 support, a universal macOS installer compatible with Intel and Apple Silicon, enhanced license management via the Three-Body Tech Online Account system, and signed installers to avoid security warnings.
