Supro Jet Airliner Lapsteel

Electric lap steel guitar that represents an updated reissue of the Supro electric model which was manufactured in the early 1960s and ships in open-E tuning tuning (E B E G# B E). It offers the Jet Airliner’s vintage-correct body shape with 584.2mm scale length and Art Deco fingerboard aesthetics enhanced with an intonation-friendly, string-through-body hard-tail bridge and a humbucker silver foil version of the original Supro “Clear-tone” pickup developed for Valco by Ralph Keller in the early 1950s. This version has a massive, broadband sound with remarkably low noise, plus is slightly overwound and located right at the harmonic “sweet spot.” The guitar has 50’s-wiring volume and tone controls and black-and-white Tuxedo finish.
