Tyron Kaymone Frampton, known as Slowthai, is a British rapper from Northampton born in 1994. Gaining attention in 2019 for his raw lyrics and gritty sound, he quickly made an impact with politically charged music. His debut album, Nothing Great About Britain, was nominated for the Mercury Prize and sparked headlines after his provocative stage act at the awards show. Slowthai has continued to build his reputation with the albums Tyron in 2021 and Ugly in 2023.
