Sire Larry Carlton L7 Black

L7 is a classic single-cut, which is also proven by the choice of wood. The neck and body are made of solid mahogany with an amazing maple top. The set-neck and C-neck neck work in tandem to provide excellent access to the upper frets with smooth transitions on the ebony fingerboard.
Another great feature is the rounded edges, thanks to which you feel that you are playing the guitar for four times the price. Add to that a medium jumbo fretboard and a 12 "fingerboard radius and you have the best of modern and old school style.
The hardware on the L7 has an incredibly high standard. Premium locking tuners maintain the L7's precise tuning, even with hard playing and high doses of vibrator. At the other end, you have a reliable modern Tune-O-Matic bridge designed by Sire for precise intonation.
Working closely with Larry Carlton to create a modern set of humbuckers provides excellent transparency in larger chords and excellent sustain of one note. Modern players and vintage rockers alike will find balanced, warm tones that can be adjusted to your specific needs.

Very good guitar. Sound good at low and high volume. The sound is smooth and warm when the knob of the volume is set low and become more agressive with a high setting. Specially on the bridge pickup. The neck pickup is more on the dark side. The neck feels good

Perhaps Sire is not a widely-known manufacturer, but it's guitars are more than comparable to more well-known ones (in the same price range) and perhaps even better in some respects. The guitar looks very nice, the workmanship and details are great, the sound is beautiful. I would say the L7 is the most similar to the Epiphon’s Les Paul models. The guitar is painted in high gloss, but what I like is that the neck is treated with a matte color which contributes to a good feeling when playing. Unfortunately, Sire does not seem to have a final product quality control. My guitar was delivered with a cracked neck pickup cover/frame. Not a huge defect, hardly noticeable, but not acceptable on a new guitar!

Très bonne guitare : très bien construite (juste un petit réglage du manche pour l'adapter à mon jeu), sonne très bien, esthétique, et pour un petit prix. TOP !
