Richard Stephen Sambora, born July 11, 1959, is an American musician best known as the longtime lead guitarist for Bon Jovi. From 1983 to 2013, he played a key role in shaping the band's sound and co-wrote many of its biggest hits with Jon Bon Jovi. Apart from his work with the band, Sambora has released three solo albums. In 2018, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Bon Jovi and performed at the ceremony. That same year, he teamed up with guitarist Orianthi to form the duo RSO, releasing their debut album, Radio Free America.
