Jason Bradley DeFord, better known as Jelly Roll, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who began his music career in 2003. He gained widespread recognition with his 2022 singles Son of a Sinner and Need a Favor. In 2023, Son of a Sinner earned him three CMT Music Awards, and he was named New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. He was also nominated for Best New Artist at the 66th Grammy Awards.
