Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Originally named A Day in the Life, the current members are JT Woodruff, Matt Ridenour, and Mark McMillon. The band rose to fame with their debut albums The Silence in Black and White and If Only You Were Lonely, both earning gold certification. Their notable single Saying Sorry also achieved gold status. Despite the loss of guitarist Casey Calvert in 2007, the band continued to release music, including albums like Fragile Future, Skeletons, and a trilogy of EPs on their own label, Cardboard Empire. Known for their emotional lyrics and influence on the early 2000s emo-punk scene, Hawthorne Heights remains active, with recent releases including Bad Frequencies and The Rain Just Follows Me.
