The EF-S lens is Canon's first 24mm "pancake" lens. With its compact and lightweight design, it is ideal for documenting urban architecture or shooting at social events. Its advanced optical design ensures excellent image quality. The high brightness (f / 2.8) allows hand-held shooting even in low light with a solid result. The focal length of 24 mm is not primarily intended for a specific shooting mode. Combined with plenty of light and a minimum f / 5.6 brightness, however, you can capture crisp building detail, very good portraits, or macro shots with blurred backgrounds. For high-quality focus, you'll need to shoot from a minimum distance of 16 cm.
