A dedicated Send and Return loop lets noisy gain pedals sit inside the gate while detection stays locked to the clean guitar signal at the input. An advanced VCA combined with high-speed envelope-detecting circuits suppresses noise while retaining playing feel and natural note decay. Toggle between Reduction and Mute with the Mode switch.

Threshold, Decay, and Mode — Shape the Gate

Shaping the noise gate is easy thanks to two knobs and a mode selector that offer precise control over how the NS-2 reacts to your playing dynamics.

• Threshold: variable level — sets the signal floor at which the gate closes
• Decay: variable time — controls fade-out speed after the signal drops below threshold
• Mode selection gives you a choice between continuous suppression for everyday playing or full signal muting for silent tuning.

Send/Return Loop — Isolated Detection

The Send and Return jacks form an isolated sub-loop so the NS-2 detects the clean guitar signal while suppressing noise from any pedals placed inside the loop.
