Electric semi-hollow guitar from Americana series that represents a reproduction of Supro’s single-pickup electric guitar that was manufactured in Chicago during the early 1960s. This historic reissue model mates a chambered body with an upgraded, composite “Acousti-glass” top and semi-hollow mahogany back. This updated construction, complemented by mahogany neck with redesigned two-bolt joint, preserves the instrument’s Art Deco aesthetics and timeless, semi-hollow sound while improving its acoustic resonance and tuning stability. Scale length is 628.65 mm. The guitar’s vintage-correct tuners, dobro tailpiece and adjustable rosewood bridge are joined by a faithful replica of the legendary Vistatone pickup, a groundbreaking single-coil developed for Valco by Ralph Keller in the early 1950s. The Vistatone pickup is cited as prior art in Seth Lover’s PAF patent and is found in many of the most desirable vintage Supro models. The guitar then provides a pure 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll sound with an aggressive mid-range voice which can be adjusted by volume and tone control. Wedgewood Blue Metallic colour design.
