Pasadena ESM02 Sun Red Mandoliin

ESM02SR is a premium A-style 8-string mandolin crafted from AAA-grade mahogany, producing a rich, warm tone with exceptional resonance and depth. Unlike instruments made from basswood, the AAA mahogany construction delivers superior tonal quality and long-term durability that improves with playing time.

AAA-Grade Mahogany

The use of AAA-grade mahogany sets this mandolin apart from entry-level alternatives. The tight, even grain of premium mahogany produces a richer overtone series and better sustain than lower-grade tonewoods.

Rich Warm Tone with Depth

The combination of maple top, mahagony back and sides creates a full, balanced tone with a warm low-mid character, clear note definition and good projection – well suited to folk, bluegrass and traditional music.

A-Style Body

The classic A-style teardrop body is ergonomic and lightweight, providing comfortable playing over extended sessions. The shape is equally suited to seated and standing performance.

8-String Double-Course Configuration

Four doubled string courses give ESM02SR the characteristic shimmering, resonant tone of the mandolin family, with enhanced volume and sustain compared to single-string instruments.
