Its ultra-thin, 4-micron Mylar diaphragm delivers first-class transient response. The capsule is using the same technology as the top of the line studio microphones and boasts a huge dynamic range. Its high sensitivity and exceptionally low self-noise come thanks to the LEWITT patented Direct Coupling circuit design. Like all microphones from MTP series, it has an amazingly consistent polar pattern across its entire frequency spectrum. Everything below the LEWITT ring can be gripped by the artist's hand without causing the FOH engineer to lift even a single finger. The outstanding rear rejection of -25 dB guarantees super-high gain before feedback. All settings from low-cut to pre-attenuation are easily readable in dark environments thanks to the illuminated user interface. This feature comes in handy especially for line checks, helping to avoid unnecessary fumbling in the dark. The structure-in-structure architecture provides the basis for the microphone’s ruggedness. The outside enclosure of wire-mesh cup and ring is made of sturdy spring steel, while the body consists of durable zinc die -cast parts. The inner enclosure is made of resilient but lightweight nylon enforced-reinforced ABS. This design ensures the best possible protection for the rough daily touring routines. The internal dual shock mount system achieves the most efficient handling noise elimination – the refined rubber suspensions provide the best possible dampening of unwanted structure-borne noise caused by hand-movement.
