Strings 1 (G), 2 (D) and 3 (A) are 38 inches long from ball end to silk end. The 4th string (E) is 36 ¾" from the end of the ball to the silk/tup. Only the silk portion of the string should wrap around the tuning post or the string will break.

This particular set is NOT suitable for bass guitars with bridges that require the strings to pass through the body of the instrument.
