Keeley Compressor Plus Kitarriefekt

Analog Compression with Modern Flexibility

The Keeley Compressor Plus is a 100% analog compressor pedal for electric guitar and bass, built in the USA. This stompbox delivers the same gorgeous push of frequencies and tone sweetening that made earlier units from the brand legendary, with controls that adapt to any instrument.

What Sets the Compressor Plus Apart

The Release Switch is tuned for single coil or humbucker pickups, eliminating manual attack dialing. The Tone Control is a Keeley-designed emphasis circuit adapted from analog delays, recovering treble harmonics that compression tends to strip away. Blend control allows you to retain pick attack while adding sustain, preserving the proper phasing of the dry signal.

Power and Signal Specs

Engineered for low-current draw, the Compressor Plus runs on a standard 9VDC center-negative supply or a 9V battery.

\n
• Power: 9 V DC, center negative — standard pedalboard supply compatibility
\n
• Current Draw: 10 mA — ultra-low draw leaves headroom on multi-pedal power bricks
\n
• Internal 9V battery operation is fully supported for those who prefer cable-free setups.

Controls — Four Knobs and One Switch

Four top-mounted knobs and a single toggle give full command over compression character without menu diving.

\n
• Sustain & Level: core compression and output — set peak limiting and master volume, doubles as a clean amp boost
\n
• Blend Knob: dry/compressed mix — retains pick attack and transients while adding sustain on the back end
\n
• Tone Knob & Release Switch: high-frequency emphasis and pickup voicing — restores treble lost in compression and tunes release time for single coils or humbuckers
\n

Build Quality — Boutique Construction

Robert Keeley's reputation for component quality carries through to this pedal.

\n
• Circuit: 100% analog — no digital conversion in the signal path
\n
• Components: metal film resistors, hand-matched transistors to less than 1% tolerance — ultra-clean operation with low noise floor
\n
• A true-bypass design ensures that your guitar signal passes through completely unchanged when the effect is disengaged.
