MECHS & ROBOTS — Professional Mech and Robot Sound Effects Library

Every mech project begins with a need for various units: a small one for close detail, a large one for scale, and something in between to connect them. Traditional libraries often require you to create each unit from scratch, sourcing and matching elements that were never intended to work together.

MECHS & ROBOTS addresses this challenge at the library level. Featuring eight fully designed characters across four size classes in the Designed edition, this library is built from the same source material as the Construction Kit, ensuring a cohesive sound experience across all scales. You can seamlessly integrate a Microbot and a Titan into the same session, as they were designed to complement each other.

Eight Robot Characters. One Coherent Sound World.

MECHS & ROBOTS includes eight meticulously crafted mech characters that span four size classes: Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. Each character encompasses 12 sound categories, offering up to 57 individual variations. The consistent design language ensures that different sizes can coexist within the same production without losing their coherence.

Twelve Categories. One Complete Character.

Each Designed character covers a comprehensive range of 12 sound categories, capturing the full mechanical lifecycle from Power Up to Idle, Damage Impact, Transform, and Dismantle. Choose a character from your desired size class, and you’ll have the essential sound design ready from the moment you start your session.

A Construction Kit Built for Layering

The library features four source categories: Metal, Mechanical, Servo, and Synthetic. These are real recordings from industrial and mechanical sources, engineered for optimal performance without extensive processing, and designed to withstand heavy treatment. Each element offers six to twelve variations.

Designed for Professional Workflows

All files adhere to a standardized UCS-compliant filename structure, complete with embedded metadata for quick searching in Soundminer, Basehead, and Soundly. The audio is provided in 96kHz / 24-bit WAV format, ensuring compatibility with all major DAWs on both Windows and Mac platforms.

Real Recordings at Three Scales

With over 4,500 metal footstep and movement recordings captured at small, medium, and large sizes, this library features sounds sourced from heavy industrial equipment known for their sonic character. These include tool cabinets, ammunition boxes, extractor hoods, steel beams, car jacks, and sheet metal. Additionally, servo motors are recorded in six configurations, covering both plastic and metal housings, alongside mechanical sounds from industrial gears, ratchets, and vintage hardware.

Consistent Structure Throughout

The library is organized into Metal, Mechanical, Servo, and Synthetic categories, with six variations per recorded element and twelve variations for metal footstep and movement categories. The synthetic elements were designed to fit within the system, maintaining the same size-class relationships as the recorded material.
