Bobby Shmurda, born Ackquille Jean Pollard in 1994, is an American rapper and one of the pioneers of Brooklyn drill music, alongside Rowdy Rebel. He gained widespread attention in 2014 with his hit single "Hot Nigga," which reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and led to a deal with Epic Records for his debut EP, "Shmurda She Wrote."
