The AT4050ST is a dual large-diaphragm condenser designed for simultaneous A/B or M-S stereo recording from a single microphone body. Two cardioid capsules arranged at 90° deliver a precise, three-dimensional stereo image with the transparent sonic character of Audio-Technica's 4050 series. Dual Capsule Design

The AT4050ST houses two cardioid capsule elements positioned for true X/Y stereo pickup. This fixed arrangement eliminates phase inconsistencies common with two separate microphones and ensures a coherent stereo field from a single mounting point.

Pad and Filter Options

A switchable 10 dB pad handles high-SPL sources such as drum overheads or brass instruments without overloading the capsule. The switchable high-pass filter at 80 Hz reduces low-frequency rumble and stand vibration for cleaner recordings in live and studio environments.

Transformerless Circuit
