Tate McRae is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and dancer born in 2003. She first rose to fame as a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance in 2016. After signing with RCA Records, she released two EPs, including Too Young to Be Sad, which became Spotify's most streamed female EP in 2021 and featured the international hit You Broke Me First. Her debut album, I Used to Think I Could Fly, reached number three in Canada and included the top-10 single She's All I Wanna Be. Tate found global success with her 2023 single Greedy, leading to her second album Think Later, which debuted in the top five in several countries. Her third album, So Close to What, topped charts around the world in 2025 and featured the hit Sports Car. That same year, she achieved her first Billboard Hot 100 number one as a featured artist on Morgan Wallen's What I Want.
