• Further improvements to the already exceptional mic preamps: SSL 2+ MK II retain the class-leading low-noise (-130.5 dBu EIN) mic preamps but further refinements bolster the performance even more with improved gain range (64 dB compared to 62 dB 1^st gen) , dynamic range (116.5 dB compared to 110.5 dB 1^st gen) and maximum input level (+9.7 dB compared to 5.5 dB 1^st gen).
• Next-Gen Conversion: The SSL 2+ MK II now boasts next-generation 32-bit / 192 kHz high-performance converters (as featured on SSL 12). Experience unparalleled audio fidelity and detail in your recordings.
• Significant leap in Balanced Output Performance – thanks to the new converters, the balanced outputs achieve a dynamic range of 120 dB (compared to 112 dB 1^st gen) - true studio grade monitoring for your speakers.
• Re-engineered headphone outputs – now providing an incredible 119.5 dB dynamic range  (111 dB 1^st gen) - giving you full confidence for making informed decisions on headphones.
• Switchable High-Pass Filter: Both input channels are equipped with a switchable high-pass filter, allowing you to clean up low-end rumble at source.
• SSL 2+ MK II Balanced Outputs 3-4: Enjoy the flexibility of 4 balanced outputs on ¼" jacks, an upgrade from the previously unbalanced RCA outputs for outputs 3 & 4. This ensures better compatibility with professional equipment.
• Front Panel Headphone Outputs: For enhanced usability, the MK II interface headphones outputs are moved to the front panel. Say goodbye to the hassle of reaching behind your unit to plug in your headphones.
• SSL 2+ MK II retains its 2 x independent headphone outputs (capable of sourcing different mixes) but also now includes the option to respect or not respect the Monitor Mix blend control when set to 3&4.
• Convenient DI Inputs: The Instrument (DI) inputs (with automatic DI input detect) are now conveniently located on the front of the unit, making it easier to plug in your instruments and start recording instantly.
• Improved Hardware and Usability: The MK II interfaces come with new hardware switches and accompanying LEDs (+48v, LINE, HPF, STEREO, 3&4), offering improved tactile feedback and making it easier to immediately recognize the state of each switch.
• Continued use of industry grade parts – Alps Pots, Neutrik connectors and High-Current NJM headphone amps continue to provide the kind of quality you’d expect from a large-format SSL console.
