Social Distortion

Social Distortion is a legendary American punk rock band that began in 1978 in Fullerton, California. Founded by singer and guitarist Mike Ness, the group emerged from the vibrant Orange County punk scene. After overcoming early struggles and lineup changes, Social Distortion developed a unique sound blending punk with country, blues, and classic rock influences. The current lineup features Mike Ness, Jonny Wickersham, Brent Harding, and David Hidalgo Jr. Known for hits like Ball and Chain and Story of My Life, the band has released seven studio albums and sold over three million records worldwide. Despite decades of changes, Social Distortion remains a powerful force in punk, continuing to tour and work on new music.
