The EH3 builds on the success of the Shanling EM5 streamer, meeting the demand for a simpler device that offers impeccable performance and elegance. Power and versatility with a power output of up to 1.9 W @ 32 Ohm // 205 mW @ 300 Ohm in single-ended mode and 5.3 W @ 32 Ohm // 700 mW @ 300 Ohm in balanced mode, the EH3 offers remarkable performance. The Shanling EH3 features a dual power supply system that is carefully divided between the analogue and digital sections, effectively minimising interference between components to ensure a pristine audio experience. The Shanling EH3 is based on the Ingenic X2000 platform and features the same system and control interface as the ET3 CD transport. A central multifunction wheel is used for both volume control and menu navigation, complemented by playback and input buttons on the top panel. The EH3 also comes with a remote control. The EH3 is equipped for wireless playback and features Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi capabilities. It can act as a Bluetooth receiver and supports LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. It also integrates seamlessly with local Wi-Fi networks and serves as an Airplay 1 or DLNA endpoint. The rear panel offers a variety of inputs and outputs, including USB, optical, coaxial and I²S HDMI connectors for DAC use, and analogue RCA inputs for amplifier-only functions. The EH3 features an impressive 4 headphone outputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of headphones. Single-ended outputs are available via both 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm jacks, while balanced outputs are available via 4.4 mm jacks and 4-pin XLR connectors.
