Lin-Manuel & Eisa Davis Miranda

Lin-Manuel Miranda, born January 16, 1980, is an acclaimed American songwriter, actor, singer, rapper, and filmmaker. He is best known for creating and starring in the hit Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. Miranda also wrote songs for popular animated films such as Moana, Vivo, and Encanto, earning two Academy Award nominations. His work has received major honors including a Pulitzer Prize for Drama, three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, two Emmy Awards, and five Grammy Awards. Hamilton became a cultural phenomenon and won 11 Tony Awards. Miranda is a frequent collaborator with Disney and achieved chart-topping success with the song We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto. Beyond the stage and screen, he has been active in supporting Puerto Rico and has directed the film Tick Tick Boom.
