5-string electric bass guitar for left-handed players from SR series that features a lightweight mahogany body, a smooth, fast 5-piece maple/walnut neck, and perfectly matched electronics. The neck construction provides excellent strength and stability but also enhances sustain of the instrument. The jatoba fingerboard with medium frets and white dot inlay produces a rich mid-range with a crisp high end. Scale length is 864 mm, fingerboard radius is 305 mm and nut width is 45 mm. The bass guitar is equipped with two passive PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups that were developed by Ibanez and feature exposed pole pieces, producing a stronger signal and providing an increased response of the higher frequencies without sacrificing low end. They can be controlled by a 3-band EQ which works in conjunction with a 3-way Power Tap switch for a wide tonal range. Tap More (single coil) setting offers a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation, while the Series Mode (humbucking) setting delivers a full, warm tone. Finally, the Power Tap Mode provides the best of both, combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker. The bass guitar further features the Accu-cast B125 bridge with extra-wide 16.5mm string spacing which can accommodate even the heaviest string sets, and black hardware. Weathered Black colour design.
