Inside the unit are Cirrus Logic CS5381 A/D and CS43198 D/A converters from the RedNet family. Clip Safe monitors levels up to 96,000 times per second and automatically adjusts preamp gain, preventing clipping during takes. With two Air Mode options—Presence for high-end sparkle and Presence + Drive for classic console-like harmonic saturation—users shape their sound to taste.

Preamp and Input Versatility

Two front-panel combo inputs accept XLR microphones, balanced line sources, or Hi-Z instruments, eliminating the need for a DI box. Each preamp delivers up to 69 dB of clean gain with an EIN of -127 dBu A-Weighted, and 48V phantom power is independently selectable per channel.
