Classical guitar from CEC series that features a slim SFX body with Venetian cutaway and Fishman electronics for steel-string players who love the nylon-string sound. The body features mahogany back and sides for bright yet natural sound with a strong and warm midrange, and a solid red cedar top. Compared to spruce, cedar is a bit mellower and warmer. The mid-range is slightly accentuated with a sweeter top-end, making cedar ideal for players who finger-pick a lot and prefer a slightly rounder and fuller sound. Traditional classical guitar fan bracing is used internally to maximize the vibrational characteristics of nylon strings. Slim body depth (83 mm) of the guitar was developed for players seeking comfort and easier playability. The guitar offers a 643mm scale, slightly shorter than the scale of traditional classical guitar. This results in less string tension for ease of fingering for not only soloing in the high register but for playing chord arpeggios in the low register as well. A slightly narrower nut width (45 mm) is good for both classical and traditional steel-string acoustic players. The guitar is equipped with the Fishman ISYS preamp system that features a 2-band EQ, a LED tuner and a phase control along with Sonicore pickup for the signature Fishman sound. The D’Addario EXP46N coated classical nylon strings resist discoloration and corrosion better than standard strings while retaining liveliness and power. Even after the guitar has not been played for weeks or months at a time sitting on a stand or stowed away in its case, the strings still look, sound and feel fresh. The high-tech, sonically enhanced UV finish is strong and resistant to scratches while being lightweight to improve the natural acoustic resonance of the body for a full-bodied and rich tone.
