The Boss DD-3T Digital Delay builds on a lineage that began with the DD-2—the world’s first digital delay pedal from 1983—and evolved through the DD-3, a staple for pedalboard users since 1986. With tap tempo now integrated into the pedal switch, you can tap in delay times during a performance, then set subdivisions using the Mode knob—choose from quarter-note triplet, dotted-eighth, or straight quarter note. This keeps echoes perfectly aligned to the rhythm, and an external footswitch can be connected for additional tap control. Delay time stretches up to 800 ms when using tap input.

By moving the Direct Out jack next to the main output, setting up wet/dry rigs becomes far more convenient: route the dry signal to one amp, the delay-only output to another, or mute the dry path with a dummy plug for parallel effects chains.
