Behringer NEKKST K10S
The Behringer NEKKST K10S is a 10-inch powered studio subwoofer co-designed with KRK founder Keith R. Klawitter, extending any nearfield monitoring system down to 40 Hz with clean, articulate bass. A 300W bridge-mode amplifier drives a deformation-resistant glass fiber cone for tight transients and 117 dB of headroom.
- 10" long-throw glass fiber woofer designed by KRK founder Keith R. Klawitter
- 300W amplifier with bridge-mode topology delivers detailed low-frequency reproduction
- Variable 40–150 Hz lowpass crossover and phase switch for precise monitor integration
- Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA I/O for drop-in 2.1 studio setups
Behringer NEKKST K10S Powered Studio Subwoofer — Deep, Accurate Low End for Any Monitoring Setup
The Behringer NEKKST K10S is a 10-inch powered studio subwoofer engineered to extend the low-frequency reach of any nearfield monitoring system down to 40 Hz. Co-designed with Keith R. Klawitter, founder of KRK, this subwoofer delivers the kind of clean, articulate bass that producers and engineers need to make confident mix decisions. The K10S is the right choice for project and home studios that need to hear what is happening below their main monitors.
Designed by a Master, Built for Honest Bass
What sets the K10S apart is the deformation-resistant glass fiber cone designed by Keith R. Klawitter, paired with a high-density composite enclosure that virtually eliminates cabinet resonance. Advanced Waveguide technology and a bridge-mode amplifier architecture deliver detailed low-frequency reproduction without the port compression that plagues many subs in this tier.
Driver and Amplification — Punch and Headroom
The 10-inch long-throw woofer and 300W amplifier give the K10S enough headroom to reproduce kick drums, sub-bass synth lines, and film-score LFE channels without strain. Maximum SPL reaches 117 dB at 1 m, so even dense low-end passages stay clean at typical nearfield monitoring levels.
- LF Driver: 10" long-throw glass fiber cone — deformation-resistant for tight transients
- Amplifier Power: 300 W — bridge-mode topology for full low-frequency detail
- Max SPL: 117 dB @ 1 m — enough headroom for dense mixes at nearfield distances
Frequency Range and Crossover — Tunable to Your Monitors
A variable lowpass crossover spanning 40–150 Hz lets users dial in the exact handoff point between the sub and their main monitors. The rear-panel phase switch helps align the sub's output with the monitors for a coherent stereo image, and the crossover dial is even labelled for direct pairing with the Nekkst K5, K6, and K8 monitors.
- Frequency Range: 40 Hz – 150 Hz — extends any nearfield system into true sub-bass territory
- Variable Crossover: 40–150 Hz lowpass — matches the sub to monitors of any size
- Phase Switch: 0° / 180° — aligns sub output with main monitors for a coherent image
Connectivity and Enclosure — Drop-In Integration
The K10S accepts balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with parallel outputs for a true 2.1 monitoring chain. The high-density composite cabinet keeps weight manageable while staying rigid enough to suppress unwanted resonance, and the auto-ranging "Planet Earth" power supply accepts mains voltages worldwide.
- Inputs: 2 × XLR balanced, 1 × RCA stereo — works with any audio interface or monitor controller
- Outputs: 2 × XLR, 1 × RCA stereo — direct link to main monitors for 2.1 setups
- Dimensions: 394 × 356 × 404 mm — fits under most desks in a typical project studio
- Weight: 17.4 kg — solid feel without being impossible to reposition
