An important accessory for the stove is the removable windshield, which is newly designed to also serve as a stabilizing base for the cartridge-stove system when placed in the opposite position.

• In practice, especially in windy weather, it leads to significant fuel savings, up to 25 %! The windshield effectively protects the flame from gusts of wind, and its large reflective surface reflects all the heat from the combustion gases back under the cooking pot. Mounting and dismounting are very simple, the stove's compactness is maintained, and the weight of the windshield in terms of fuel savings is negligible. The windshield is perfectly compatible with the three-piece dining set known as ''mess-tin,'' so it practically takes up no space in relation to the weight of the saved fuel.

Windshield can be used with a smaller container from the camping sets we offer, such as Makalu, Everest, Al-inox, or the Titanium set - it is perfectly compatible with all of them.

• Another significant advantage is the very easy ''assembly and disassembly'' of the Windshield, which maintains the compactness of the stove itself.
• The stabilizer or bomb stand function: the cartridge with the stove can be securely attached to the other side of the Windshield in a very simple way, significantly enhancing resistance to tipping over – anyone who has had their cooked soup spill into the grass right before enjoying it knows what I'm talking about. Reliable attachment can only be achieved with VAR CGV 425 cartridges or others of the same diameter.

Product Instructions

• An essential addition to the VAR stove is the Windshield. It is exceptionally efficient and has a high reflective effect. Its design ensures highly effective flame protection against wind gusts. Furthermore, it exhibits a significant reflective effect, meaning that all the heat from combustion gases is reflected underneath the cooking vessel, reducing the cooking time by approximately 25 %, as well as the gas consumption.
• By using the Windshield, a camping stove transforms into an effective tool even in the highest mountains. The Windshield is entirely compact with a three-piece dining set known as the ''hiker's kit.'' It takes up virtually no space relative to the weight of the fuel used. Another significant advantage is the very simple assembly and disassembly of the windshield, maintaining the stove's compactness.
• Additionally, the Windshield can be alternatively used as a stabilizing base for the stove-bomb system. The bomb is inserted into two press fits and secured by rotating the eccentric.

The windbreak is entirely compatible with the VAR mess-tin, taking up practically no space in relation to the weight of saved fuel. Another significant advantage is the very simple ''assembly and disassembly'' of the windbreak, maintaining the stove's compactness. Furthermore, the windbreak can now be used as a stabilization base for the cartridge-stove system. The procedure for attaching the windbreak is as follows: the eccentric is turned to allow the cartridge to be inserted into both pressings, securing the cartridge by rotating the eccentric. Reliable results can only be achieved with VAR CGV 425 cartridges.

Important Notice!

• For cooking, a container with a diameter larger than 140 mm must not be used!!! This means that there must be a minimum gap of 7 mm around the entire circumference between the inner edge of the windbreak and the container. When using the windbreak, it is necessary to adjust the stove's power so that the flames do not touch the outer edge of the windbreak; otherwise, it may become deformed or even melt, thus leading to its destruction.
• Only the''mess-tin,'' set, thanks to its unique shape, allows the use of both containers. With other sets we offer, you can only use the smallest container.

Safety Requirements

• The stove, when used with the windbreak, must not be used in enclosed spaces such as residential cabins, bungalows, camping trailers, etc. When cooking in a tent, always ensure adequate ventilation and never use the stove for heating, as carbon monoxide poisoning may occur! In a tent, it is more advantageous to use a windbreak as a stabilizer for the stove. Installation of Windbreak on VAR 2

• All supports must be extended from the openings in the stove in which they are inserted to a free non-locked position (just as during their folding). One of the supports of the container is inserted with its arch into one of the grooves in the windbreak. Now it is possible to insert the remaining two supports into the grooves of the windbreak, but this time with their BEGINNING, and then push all three supports into the locked position.
