Jack Wolfskin Highland Trail 50 Phantom Outdoor Backpack
Product code: 2008481_6350 | ID: 411191
If you’re heading off on an adventure holiday to South America or a hut-to-hut walk in the Swiss Alps, you need a pack that will take all your kit and is comfortable to carry. The HIGHLAND TRAIL 50 fits the bill perfectly.
The trekking packs in the HIGHLAND TRAIL series are equipped with the height-adjustable X-TRANSITION back system. The system is extremely comfortable, delivers good back ventilation and makes carrying heavy loads surprisingly easy. Simply put the pack on, adjust the straps, and you’re good to go.
Spare clothing, jacket, trekking poles, food and water bottle – there is space for everything in the HIGHLAND TRAIL, and all the features are ergonomically designed for easy access to your kit. The lid pocket has an extra-long zip and opens up wide so you can find what you need quickly. You can carry your water bottle in the special holster on the waist belt, and if you want to use a water bladder, there’s a stow pouch for that inside. The main compartment can be accessed from the top or via the front zip.
The back length is adjustable. The HIGHLAND TRAIL packs are available in various sizes. Just choose the one that suits you best.
Technologies:
X-Transition
Two aluminium struts in an X-shape configuration direct the bulk of the load onto the hips. The height-adjustable shoulder straps and fully adjustable back length ensure a perfect fit. In addition, the carry system is available in anatomically designed versions specific to men and women.
A further advantage: the aluminium struts, shoulder straps and waist belt are designed to deliver excellent freedom of movement, even with a fully packed backpack on demanding terrain.
BACKLENGTH S-L
Backpacks with a "BACKLENGTH S-L" are suitable for a back length of between 46-58 cm.
The back length is measured from the 7th cervical vertebra to the 5th lumbar vertebra or, alternatively, from the shoulder to the top edge of the pelvic bone.
The back length is stated on backpacks which are primarily used on either day trips or treks lasting several days.
ASI APPROVED PRODUCT (Products tested by ASI Reisen)
ASI Reisen is one of the leading tour operators for activity and adventure travel worldwide. 100% PFC-free
Label for water-repellent coating without PFC. One of our top aims is to eliminate PFCs in our collection.
PFCs (per- and poly-fluoride chemicals) are substances used on the surfaces of items to give them water-repellent or fat-repellent properties, which is the reason they are mainly used in waterproof trousers and jackets.
As it is still not clear which PFCs are "good" (i.e. degradable) and which ones are not, we took the decision to eliminate them all from our entire collection. We are now very close to attaining our goal: all our clothing and equipment are now completely PFC-free. And the number of PFC-free shoes in our collection is on the rise.

Grüner Knopf (Green Button)
The Green Button is a government-run* certification label for sustainably manufactured textiles. It provides guidance for consumers when shopping. The Green Button sets out mandatory requirements to protect people and the environment in the textile production process. A total of 46 stringent social and environmental criteria must be met – ranging from wastewater to forced labour.
What is special about the Green Button is that the company as a whole is also audited, not just the product. This makes it the first government-run certification label to systematically audit companies for compliance with human rights and environmental due diligence in their supply chains.
The government defines the criteria and conditions for the Green Button, creating clarity and trust. Independent auditors review compliance with the criteria.
